Spanish retail group Inditex is preparing to open its first UK Stradivarius store, nine months after launching the brand online.

It will open the store at Westfield Stratford City later this year, selling womenswear aimed at shoppers between 20 and 35. It will join stablemate brands Zara, Bershka and Pull & Bear in the centre.

Stradivarius is already present in 60 countries globally, and has been available to buy online in the UK since Inditex launched a transactional website in September last year. The retailer has a global turnover of some €1bn (£813m).

It is the first time the Spanish retail group has launched a new brand in the UK since unveiling Pull & Bear in 2008.
