Designer Tom Ford is to launch his first standalone UK store with a shop planned for London’s Knightsbridge.

The fashion designer is set to open an 8,000 sq ft store at 201-206 Sloane Street, according to The Sunday Times. It is not known when the store will open.

Rent for the location will be £1.3m a year over a 10 year contract, which will be paid to landlord, the Cadogan Estate. The store will join other luxury brands on the street including Chanel, Gucci and Louis Vuitton.

The deal was negotiated by property agents at CBRE and Nash Bond.

Last August the designer opened a womenswear shop-in-shop in Harrods, partnering with Ford’s menswear shop-in-shop, which is housed in the Knightsbridge department store’s basement. Tom Ford also has concessions in Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.
