What the Hammerson and Shaftesbury results tell us about retail property

The results from two of the UK’s largest institutional landlords show that physical retail is not in the dire straits many seem to think.

While many have been bemoaning the state of UK physical retail of late, following the collapse of retail brands like TOFS, Quiz, and Claire’s, today’s results from two of the country’s biggest landlords paint a rosier picture.
