Regent Street Festival draws large crowds

Good weather and the pedestrianisation of the street during the event on Sunday helped attract significantly more visitors than last year, according to Regent Street Association director Annie Walker.

The 10th festival marked 180 years of shopping on Regent Street. Many of the stores are also celebrating landmark birthdays this year, including Jaeger, which is 125, and Hamleys’ 250th anniversary.

There were live performances on the main stage and fashion catwalk shows, featuring some of the fashions available in Regent Street shops.
