Fast-growing outdoor retailer Go Outdoors has reported record sales, with even the cold snap not derailing its growth.

The retailer, which has 27 stores, has revealed sales of £107m for the 52 weeks to 19 December. In the past 20 weeks total sales were up 70% and like for likes up 15%. Online sales have grown 62%. The company did not disclose profitability for the period.

Chief executive John Graham said the freezing weather hadn’t deterred customers. “Despite the bad weather out customers have braved the arctic conditions to shop with us.Christmas trading so far has been incredibly lucrative for us.”

The company, which employs 1,200 people, launches its sale on Boxing Day with savings of up to 90% on ranges including fleeces, boots, sleeping bags and tents.
