Value retailer Poundland has launched an online blog called Polar Pete and Friends which is updated daily with products news. The retailer already has two appreciation societies on Facebook.
Poundland chief executive Jim McCarthy said: “As a fast moving retailer we need to regularly communicate with our customers to update them on what products are in our stores and when. Pete’s blog offers an ideal way for us to communicate with our internet savvy customers in this way. Our customers are very loyal to Poundland and I am positive the blog will be a real success.”
