Peter Ridler, former Monsoon Accessorize boss, has returned to the UK after leaving Russian footwear retail giant CentrObuv after just six months.

Ridler joined the CentrObuv team in September last year to lead an IPO of the business in a newly-created chief executive role.

But it is understood that when the IPO plans were shelved by its shareholders, Ridler decided to leave.

It is believed he is not going to be replaced at CentrObuv.

Retail Week understands Ridler has not lined up a new role yet.

Ridler was the group managing director of Monsoon Accessorize for three years before leaving last year. He was by replaced by former Dixons boss John Browett, who is group chief executive.
