A former Freemans executive has exited the retail sector and taken up a new role at veterinary care company IVC Evidensia.

Ex Freemans chief customer officer Richard Cristofoli announced today his appointment as chief customer and marketing officer at veterinary care provider IVC Evidensia, after leaving the fashion retailer in February this year.
During his career, Cristofoli also spent more than eight years at Debenhams and led the retail giant’s beauty business, as well as holding other senior roles at WHSmith and Sainsbury’s.
Cristofoli said of his appointment: “I’m really looking forward to joining IVC Evidensia at an exciting and pivotal point.
“I understand that the trust and bond between client and veterinary practice is incredibly important and I’m looking forward to seeing how we can further support that as we develop our communications and our online and in-practice experience and environments.”
The news follows a period of change for Freemans which axed its print catalogue after 118 years in 2023.
Freemans has also since launched its first credit offer in 13 years and partnered with singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor on its spring/summer 2025 campaign.
