Fewer retailers paying above the minimum wage than last year
Exclusive research by Retail Week has found that significantly fewer retailers are paying their staff an hourly rate above the minimum wage compared to this time last year.
According to the annual Retail Week Retail Pay Index, which shows the rate of entry-level staff pay at more than 80 retailers, only 32 retailers are paying more than the national minimum wage (NMW) this year.
