Depop secures $62m funding from Uber and Klarna investor

Depop has secured $62m (£48.8m) after a series C funding round led by US venture capital firm General Atlantic.

Balderton Captial, Octopus Ventures and Tempocap alongside Klarna founder Sebastian Siemiatkowski all participated in the round.

The fashion app said it will use the funding to expand internationally, grow its London-based engineering team and invest in product development.

Monsoon delays CVA after Arcadia fail

Monsoon owner Peter Simon has delayed the fashion chain’s plans restructuring after landlords failed to back Sir Philip Greens empire.

Simon had plans to launch a CVA as early as today according to The Guardian which would enable him to reduce its store portfolio and slash rents on other stores.

Amazon launches train station kiosks

Amazon is rolling out physical kiosks in train stations around London as part of its plan to develop its bricks and mortar offer.

The kiosks will sell a range of discounted items and are an extension to its recent Treasure Truck concept which is currently making its way around the country.
