Very Group owner scraps sale process after bidders fail to meet asking price
The auction of The Very Group is close to being scrapped after potential bidders for the brand refused to meet the owner’s £2bn asking price.
As was first reported by Sky News, the retailer’s owners Carlyle are unlikely to proceed with a sale of the business, after a number of potential bidders, including JD.com, have refused to meet the asking price.
