Burberry has appointed two new c-suite executives as the luxury brand continues with its turnaround push.

The luxury fashion retailer has appointed Matteo Calonaci as chief operating and supply chain officer and Johnattan Leon as its new chief customer officer.

Both Calonaci and Leon will join the retailer’s executive committee and report directly to the chief executive Joshua Schulman.

Calonaci’s new role is a promotion and he will be responsible for overseeing Burberry’s supply chain and planning, strategy and transformation, and data and analytics.

He replaces Klaus Bierbrauer, who is leaving the brand.

Leon is also currently working at Burberry as senior vice president of commercial and chief of staff.

Schulman said: “Today’s appointments reflect the exceptional talent and leadership we have at Burberry. Both Matteo and Johnattan have been instrumental in strengthening our focus on executional excellence and elevating our customer experience. Their deep understanding of our business, our people, and our customers gives me full confidence that their leadership will help drive Burberry forward.”
