Gap, Build-A-Bear Workshop and WHSmith are among the latest retailers to sign to Grosvenor’s Liverpool One scheme.

US fashion retailer Gap has secured an 8,210 sq ft (765 sq m) store on the upper floor, while toy retailer Build-A-Bear has taken a 2,250 sq ft (210 sq m) store and WHSmith has a 9,955 sq ft (925 sq m) site.

Other retailers to sign at Liverpool One include Monsoon, All Saints, Principles, Disney and S'Porter, which sells Liverpool Football Club merchandise. This follows Zara landing a 30,000 sq ft (2,785 sq m) site and HMV taking a store for one of its new-concept formats.

About 1 million sq ft (92,900 sq m) of space will open when Liverpool One's first phase opens on May 29. This includes John Lewis and Debenhams, all of South John Street and the western side of Paradise Street, along with 3,000 parking spaces.

South John Street is one of five districts being created within Liverpool One. It is a family oriented shopping, eating and leisure destination adjacent to the new 5-acre public open space. Other retailers in this space include Republic, Oasis, Warehouse and Jane Norman.
