Arcadia tycoon Sir Philip Green is to take Topshop to Brazil as part of an ambitious overseas expansion programme. Green revealed his plans as he picked up the International Retailer of the Year award presented by Crate & Barrel founder Gordon Segal on Tuesday at the US National Retail Federation convention in New York. Markets such as Australia are also being targeted. “We are pushing ahead in selected countries,” Green said.
