Supermarket chain Migros has reported preliminary group net sales of CHF25.03bn (£16.35bn) for 2010, representing a slight increase of 0.3% compared with 2009.

Lower prices of Migros’ products, alongside a currency-related decline in sales in the travel business, affected Migros Group’s sales during the year. The retail segment of the group reported a 0.8% decrease excluding VAT to CHF21.2bn (£13.8bn) - a real sales increase of 2.9%.
