Carrefour has launched a non-food e-commerce site in Brazil.

The website’s offer, which features 15,000 items across nine categories - comprising electronics, computers, appliances, phones, health and beauty, camera and photo, home furniture, bedroom and bathroom - should grow to 80,000 items by the end of the year.

The retailer aims to differentiate its site by offering electronics installation and a help desk for computer equipment.

This is the first e-commerce operation that Carrefour has launched in Latin America.
