Grocery giant Carrefour has announced plans to operate 46 drive-in stores in France by the end of the year, following the opening of its second drive-in store last week.

Customers order their groceries online, then drive to the stores and collect the items, which have all been packed beforehand.

The retailer announced it plans to open 22 drive-in stores at its hypermarkets and 24 at its supermarkets across France. The drive-in option will offer shoppers 6,000 SKUs, available at the same prices as in the company’s Carrefour Market supermarkets.
