The founders of Ideal Shopping Direct have succeeded in ousting three board members including chairman David Williams and have taken the helm of the TV shopping channel.

Williams, along with non-executive directors Terry Donovan and Susan Ellis, resigned from Ideal Shopping Direct’s board today following a general meeting.

They will be replaced by founders Paul Wright and Valerie Kaye who will take over as chairman and non-executive director respectively.

The roles of recently-appointed chief executive Mike Hancox and incoming financial director Ian Jebson have not be affected.

The changes came after it was announced last month that Wright and Kaye had demanded a meeting to oust some of the company’s directors. Wright and Kaye hold over 29 per cent in the business between them.
