The Cotswold Company is to open a retail park store, a first for the premium furniture retailer.

Cotswold Company’s first retail park showroom is to open in Portfield Retail Park, Chichester, in December, and will be one of the retailer’s largest stores.
The new store will be the brand’s 14th in the UK and will display the retailer’s most extensive range of home furnishings and furniture across 10,000 sq ft, as well as featuring an integrated Upholstery Hub offering consultations for shoppers.
The store will also display the brand’s new ready-made curtain range for the first time in-store.
Chief executive Ralph Tucker said: “We’re thrilled to continue our momentum with the opening of our new retail park showroom in Chichester. This is a key milestone for the brand as we expand our footprint in the South East and across the UK, while introducing a more immersive format that showcases a greater breadth of our product range, including our new ready-made curtain collection.
“Our showrooms are a vital part of our growth strategy. Chichester marks our fourth opening this year, and with plans to add at least one more before the end of the financial year, we’re continuing to build real momentum as we work towards becoming the UK’s leading premium furniture and homeware brand.”
Earlier this month, Sky News reported that the retailer was being prepared for a sale by its private equity owners True. According to the report, True had appointed investment bankers Arrowpoint Advisory to formulate a long-term disposal plan for the retailer.
