Next will open a Made.com concession later this year as part of its expansion plans for the online furniture business it bought out of administration in 2022.

Made.com is opening a concession in the Next Meadowhall store

Made head of brand Hollie Parkinson told Linkedin News UK that the retailer had plans to expand its presence both online and in store, including a concession in the Next store in Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping centre this December.

Parkinson said Made planned to maintain its own brand identity aside from its new parent company and was exploring expansion opportunities, including an external store, brand partnerships and a return to Europe next year.

Reportedly, Next plans to support the brand “operationally and commercially”, allowing it to leverage the efficiencies of the larger Next business.

Plans are also in the works to grow Made’s design credentials and expand into new categories across furniture and homeware.

The Made.com brand, its website and its intellectual property were snapped up by Next for £3.4m in November 2022, a week after the online retailer announced its collapse.
