Dunelm has launched a new mobile app with AI-powered search, loyalty rewards and stock availability levels.

The home and furniture retailer said the app will offer a range of features to enhance and personalise the shopping experience. 

Available on iOS and Android, the Dunelm app offers shoppers product recommendations, click-and-collect check-in, and a scan function that allows shoppers to see more information on products as they browse in-store. 

Customers will be rewarded for downloading and using the app with incentives like free drinks at in-store Pausa cafes and 10% off their first app purchase. 

The retailer said: “App customers have the ability to shop particular ranges and styles, depending on their preferences. To support the ongoing development of this new channel, Dunelm has a roadmap of exciting new features that will further enhance the shopping experience for customers, with increased levels of personalisation and inspiration.”

Dunelm’s digital channels now contribute to more than 40% of its total sales, and the app launch follows several new digital developments for the business, including the introduction of a generative AI-driven product discovery solution on its website in partnership with Google Cloud. 

Dunelm chief technology and information officer John Gahagan said: “We’re really excited to have launched our new app. It’s just over 20 years since we delivered our very first online order and this is the next chapter in our digital journey.

“The app brings our customers new ways to interact with our products and services, wherever they are, ensuring an easy, convenient and inspirational shopping experience.
