Clinique products will appear in 34 M&S stores, as well as online

From summer 2022, the high street retailer will sell 500 of Clinique’s best-selling products on M&S.com for free next-day delivery or click and collect at over 700 locations.

Clinique will also appear in 34 M&S stores including Fosse Park in Leicester, Metro Center in Gateshead, and Stratford City and Marble Arch in London.

These stores will feature a dedicated Clinique counter with experts on hand, while 40 more will have a bespoke Clinique display.

The move is part of M&S’ strategy to become beauty and skincare experts, particularly as the latter has boomed during the pandemic.

The partnership comes as M&S continues to strengthen its offer with third-party brands – the average online basket size for clothing brands is more than twice the average for M&S.com, with brands contributing around 3.5% of total online sales.

M&S managing director of clothing and home Richard Price said: “A compelling beauty offer is part of our plans to reshape M&S – innovating with our own brands and continuing to introduce complementary third-party products such as skincare experts Clinique.

“Our broad customer base and reach makes us an attractive platform partner and in turn introducing beauty brands helps us become more relevant, more often for our 22 million customers – offering them a convenient and seamless shopping experience.

“We’re also pleased to be introducing a bespoke in-store offer in our destination stores where we know customers appreciate having someone on hand to help with purchasing.”
