At the launch of his glasses range for Vision Express, TV chef Heston Blumenthal explained that a play fight years ago with ex-Arsenal footballer Lee Dixon and an ill-aimed toilet brush means he cannot wear contact lenses.

Thankfully the injury didn’t result in Heston’s career going down the pan.
