Harrods opened its eagerly anticipated upmarket convenience store this week across the road from its Knightsbridge flagship.

Harrods 102, at 102 Brompton Road, is wholly-owned by the retailer and open from 7am until 11pm six days a week and from noon until 6pm on

Sundays. It offers customers c-store staples such as a pint of milk, fresh bread and alcohol, as well as more luxury items such as sushi, energy juices, massages and oxygen sessions.

The store has been decked out with counters from international vendors. YO!Sushi and Krispy Kreme sit alongside Parisian bakery Fournil de Pierre and pharmacy and oxygen spa barn Farmacia. Harrods itself provides the deli and dairy.

The outlet also offers a concierge service, where customers that live within 400 metres of the store can phone orders for delivery. Shoppers from further afield can phone in orders to pick up themselves.

A Harrods spokesman would not say whether the concept would be

rolled out, but said: 'It fits the franchise model perfectly.'
