November sales go ballistic
Hennes & Mauritz has increased its turnover by 24 per cent on November, compared with the same month last year. This is a huge increase compared with last November's year-on-year increase of 4 per cent. It is also a big jump compared with October this year, which clocked up an increase of only 9 per cent year-on-year. November is the biggest year-on-year monthly increase for the retailer for the whole year.

The retailer's figures are in line with other young fashion brands in the UK, which analysts say have generally enjoyed a lift as winter set in. It will further fuel speculation that H&M is set to take the top spot in European clothing from Marks & Spencer.
