Southern Co-op transfers to Co-op group entity

Co-op_____

The Co-op has today announced that the Southern Co-op has transferred to a wholly owned subsidiary of the group, as the competition watchdog review continues to rumble on.

The proposed purchase of the Southern Co-op by the broader Co-op Group was approved by the former’s members in May. In today’s update, the Co-op Group said that the Southern Co-op would continue to trade under its existing fascia, and that the two businesses will continue to operate separately until the end of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) review, which is expected to finish later this year.
