Nisa has appointed chief operating officer Amanda Jones to its board amid a management reshuffle.

Jones, who was appointed to the convenience store group in April 2013, will join Nisa’s chief executive Neil Turton and finance director Simon Webster on the executive board.

As part of the changes John Sharpe has stepped down from the board after 12 years to take up the role of Nisa trading director.

A statement from Nisa said: “The board would like to thank John for his hard work and dedication over his years as a board member and welcome Amanda to her position. The existing members look forward to working together with Amanda for the mutual benefit of the company and its member shareholders.”

Earlier this year the 3,750-store retailer secured £100m of refinancing from Barclays.
