Supermarket giant Morrisons has unveiled a fresh round of 160 price cuts, as it heads into the all-important festive trading period.
The retailer said the new round of price cuts includes items regularly found in shoppers’ weekly baskets, and offers average savings of 25% across branded products such as cereals, tuna, fish fingers, ketchup and other high-volume lines such as bacon, bleach and a number of own-brand Savers lines.
More festive staples, including Bisto gravy granules, sage and onion stuffing, and cranberry sauce, have also been included in the cuts.
The announcement comes just weeks after Morrisons unveiled reductions across hundreds of its lines last month, as part of its “spend-stretch” promotion. Earlier in the year, Morrisons also expanded its More Card loyalty scheme rollout.
Pricing and customer director Alex Paver said: “Customers are continuing to feel the pressure when it comes to managing their weekly shop, which is why we’re determined to keep prices low on the products that matter most.
“By dropping the price on a further 160 items, we’re helping make sure every pound goes further, whether that’s on everyday essentials or family favourites.
“It’s all part of our ongoing commitment to deliver great value without compromising on quality.”
