Supermarket giant Morrisons has launched a new online travel service in partnership with Expedia, with the aim of expanding its More Card membership programme.
Called Morrisons Travel, the new partnership will offer customers thousands of deals on hotels and flights, as well as local car and activity hire.
The service will be available through the Morrisons website and the More Card app. Loyalty card holders will be able to redeem 10 More Points per £1 spent through the service.
“With the Morrisons Travel launch, customers can now book everything from flights to hotels through Morrisons while being rewarded through our More Card, once their trip is complete,” said Morrisons director of procurement Jamie Winter.
“This new service is designed to make life a little easier by offering more simple, good-value options in areas that really matter to our customers,” Winter added.
The announcement comes a day after Morrisons revealed it had grown More Card membership to 8 million customers last year, across 81% of transactions.
Chief executive Rami Baitiéh has put growing More Card membership at the heart of his plans for the business and intends to increase levels of personalisation and step up couponing efforts for customers to spend in stores.
