First Quench Retailing commercial director Lloyd Stephens has exited the retailer and been replaced by former board director at Somerfield Mike Osmond.

Stephens, who had been with First Quench since January 2007 has left the business “to explore other opportunities”.

Osmond takes up the position of commercial director with immediate effect and brings with him 16 years of retailing experience in senior commercial and category roles.

Martin Healy, acting chief executive said: “I would like to thank Lloyd for his valuable contribution to the business over the last couple of years, and I wish him the very best for the future.

“I am delighted that Mike is joining First Quench and I and the team are very much looking forward to working with him as we begin to put in place the building blocks for future growth. Mike has had a very impressive career in retail spanning nearly 30 years and his significant experience in building businesses for success will be invaluable as we move forward.”

First Quench – owner of Threshers – has been dogged with supply problems since credit insurance was reduced to some of its suppliers. The retailer is owned by Vision Capital.
