WHSmith is to run another £50m share buy-back scheme this financial year following the success of last year’s programme.
The retailer said it will repurchase shares on a flexible basis “in light of current market conditions” and the programme will be managed by a third party.
Investec analyst David Jeary said WHSmith’s decision to by back more shares “shows confidence in its ongoing cash-generating capabilities”.
