Retail Week looks ahead to the next seven days, with updates from Ocado, Kingfisher, ScS, Ted Baker and Next on the agenda.

Ocado

The online grocer will report its first-quarter trading statement on Tuesday, March 20. At its full-year results in February, Ocado posted flat full-year profits and warned that ongoing investment in its proprietary technology would hamper earnings during the year.

Kingfisher

The DIY conglomerate will post its final results on Wednesday, March 21. Kingfisher’s group pre-tax profit nudged up 0.9% in its first half, but it said sales at British retail arm B&Q declined 6.3%. The group is currently consulting with 200 staff, mainly at head office, on job losses.

ScS

The sofa specialist will report its interim results on Wednesday, March 21. ScS recorded a 2.2% jump in like-for-likes at its last update. The market will be keen to see whether its value proposition will continue to help it beat the big-ticket blues.

Ted Baker

The lifestyle retailer will post its final results on Thursday, March 22. Ted Baker has beaten a beleaguered fashion market in recent years – at Christmas, retail sales jumped 9% and online sales rocketed 35%.

Next

The mid-market bellwether will report its final results on Friday, March 22. Next’s sales rose 1.5% over the festive period with online driving growth – sales at its directory rose 13.6% while retail sales dropped 6.1%.
