Retail Week looks ahead to the next seven days, with updates from Bonmarché, AO, Kingfisher, Quiz, Mothercare and Majestic on the agenda.

Bonmarché

The specialist fashion retailer will report its interim results on Monday, November 20.

Investors will be keen to hear whether Bonmarché’s recovery has continued amid a difficult fashion market.

AO

The electricals specialist will publish its interim results on Tuesday, November 21.

Chief executive Steve Caunce will update the market on AO’s European expansion plans and whether Black Friday is looking as profitable as the last.

Kingfisher

The DIY retailer will report its third-quarter update on Tuesday, November 21.

Kingfisher has experienced trading disruption caused by its turnaround plan and investors will want to hear if that is now resolved.

Quiz

The fast fashion retailer will update the market on its interim results on Wednesday, November 22.

Quiz floated in the summer and has so far traded extremely well. Interested parties will be keen for that momentum to continue.

The Budget

Wednesday, November 22 also brings the budget.

The retail industry will want to see chancellor Philip Hammond announce measures to stimulate the consumer economy, tackling the impact of recent interest rate rise, which was announced by the Bank of England earlier this month.

Mothercare

The nursery specialist will report its interim results on Thursday, November 23.

Mothercare has just announced a number of jobs have gone into consultation as it continues with a plan to re-nose its offer towards mother and baby and away from young children.

Majestic Wine

The drinks specialist will reveal its interim results on Thursday, November 23.

Boss Rowan Gormley asserted at its full-year results, when the retailer racked up losses, that it was past the most cost-intensive phase of its transformation plan.

Investors will be keen to have that confirmed by the numbers.
