What is fashion’s obsession with speed?

Behind the billboards and catwalks, there’s a race taking place in the mass-market fashion sector currently that you might not be aware of. Brands are now competing on who can create, produce, and sell the latest trends on the shop floor the quickest.

Product lead times of anywhere from two weeks up to four weeks are now being thrown around by some of fashion’s biggest players as they look to deliver the latest style trends as quickly as possible.
