Oasis Warehouse has poached a senior Ted Baker designer to head up its design directorate.
Oasis said Michelle Evatt will be joining the business as design director later this year. She is currently associate director womenswear creative at Ted Baker.
Evattâs appointment follows a review by Oasis of its design, buying and merchandising leadership team. She is the latest in a string of new hires in this department, following Huong Suâs arrival at the brand in January as merchandise director and Delia Phillips as buying director who will join in the summer.
Evatt has worked at Ted Baker since 2005, where she began as senior designer and was appointed head of design in 2016.
Oasis managing director Sarah Welsh said: âWe are absolutely delighted that Michelle will be joining Oasis, she is an amazing talented designer and leader with a great track record. The impact she will have on the product handwriting is both exciting and strategically aligned with our objectives.
âTogether with Huong and Delia we believe we have assembled a formidable team, and I very much look forward to working with them allâ.
