Laura Ashley like-for-likes increased 4.9% in the 19 weeks to December 8, 2012.

Total retail sales at the fashion and homewares retailer advanced 4.2%.

Online sales surged 22.6% driven by its new m-commerce site and increased overseas deliveries.

Five stores opened this year but the retailer closed three.

Laura Ashley said: “There has been no material change to the financial position of Laura Ashley since the announcement of the first half results on 12 September 2012.”

Laura Ashley delivered first-half profits up 13.7% to £8.3m driven by its multichannel strategy and a differentiated product range.
