H&M sales come in ‘lower than planned’ in latest quarter

Fashion giant H&M has reported poorer sales than hoped for in its second quarter, but profitability was up in the period.

H&M’s net sales amounted to SEK 54.83bn (£4.26bn) in the quarter to May 31, compared to SEK 56.71bn (£4.41bn) last time. However, operating profit excluding one-time costs climbed 11% to SEK 6.59bn (£506.13m).
