H&M is to team up with New York-based designer Alexander Wang for its next highly anticipated designer collaboration.

The Swedish retailer, which regularly collaborates with high-profile designers, said the partnership marks the first time it has worked with a US designer on its collaborations.

The Alexander Wang x H&M collection will launch on November 6 and be available online and across 250 H&M stores worldwide. The collection will consist of clothing and accessories for both men and women.

The collaboration is the latest in a long line of designer tie-ups for H&M, which has previously teamed up with Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Madonna and Isabel Marant.

Wang said of H&M: “They are very open to push boundaries and to set a platform for creativity. This will be a great way for a wider audience to experience elements of the Alexander Wang brand and lifestyle.”

H&M creative advisor Margareta van den Bosch said: “Alexander Wang is one of the most important voices in fashion today. He understands exactly what people want to wear and does it with an energy and passion that’s infectious. It feels incredible to be collaborating with him this year.”
