Digital department store Freemans has launched its own marketplace offer to complement its own bought ranges.

The retailer has added another 200 brands of “customer favourites, ranging from clothing to gifts and gadgets to power tools” to its site.
Footwear brands Kurt Geiger, Carvela, Dune, and Clarks are now available to purchase on Freemans.com, as well as Ann Summers and Star by Julien Macdonald.
Budget fashion retailers Yours and M&Co have joined the marketplace alongside gadget specialist MenKind.
The launch adds more than 18,000 third-party products to the retailer’s website, which already features 500 well-known brands.
Freemans’ marketplace has been under trial since last year and saw Steve Harrison join the business from N Brown.
Freemans’ chief merchandising officer Susie Calvert said: “The modern shopper wants speed, convenience, but most of all, to buy everything from a single, trusted hub.
“This gives them peace of mind that they’re dealing with an established name, not an unknown internet site – and a single point of contact for their customer service and delivery.
“Our marketplace offering is already incredibly popular, and adding over 200 new brands means we can give shoppers even more of what they want.
“Curation has also been central to the brands we are offering; as such, we’re constantly listening to customer feedback to assess which brands to bring on board next.”
