Fashion retailer Zara has snapped up the former Topshop premises at the Trinity Leeds shopping centre for its newest flagship, Retail Week can reveal.

Zara, which is owned by Spanish fashion giant Inditex, has upsized and relocated from its current spot on the Briggate shopping street to the new 46,000 sq ft location.
Property retail group Landsec told Retail Week the new store will incorporate Zaraâs latest technological innovations to âguarantee customers a seamless shopping experienceâ.
The announcement comes as part of Inditexâs optimisation plan, which âencompasses bigger, better and more beautiful stores in the best retail destinations globallyâ.
Zara follows other retailers that have recently relocated to Trinity Leeds from elsewhere in the city including Leviâs, Space NK and Nespresso.
Landsec head of brand account management Nik Porter said: âAs guests demand more from their shopping experience, brands are prioritising prime locations that drive footfall, enable customer service and have the ability to integrate in-store and online shopping experiences.
âOur retail strategy allows us to work in partnership with brands holistically to find them the best locations and ensure that their physical presence adds value to their wider multichannel offer.â
