Footwear specialist Clarks has announced a temporary closure of all of its UK and Ireland stores in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement today, Clarks said it would temporarily close all of its 441 stores in the UK and Ireland immediately in order to protect âthe health and safety of our employees, customers and surrounding communitiesâ.
General manager for the UK and Ireland Joe Ulloa said while stores were temporarily closed âstore employees will continue to receive pay and benefitsâ.
He noted that some of Clarksâ franchise stores âmay remain openâ and said UK customers could continue to shop the retailerâs full range at its online store.
