Jigsaw chief executive Peter Ruis said bricks and mortar stores are key despite the growing importance of digital.

Ruis told Retail Week: “Whatever you do, however important digital is, the shop is key.

“If you’re Net-a-Porter or Asos your website needs to be amazing because you don’t have shops. If you do have shops, don’t turn them into websites.”
