Mango has launched ranges in Debenhams’ major stores as part of an own-bought collaboration between the two retailers.

Debenhams’ Oxford Street, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Metro and Milton Keynes are now carrying the retailer’s range.

Cardiff and Plymouth will begin selling them this week.

Debenhams is in the midst of a transformation period as it looks to tackle the punishing department store market.

New chief executive Sergio Bucher, who arrived at Debenhams from Amazon Fashion last year following the drawn-out resignation of former boss Michael Sharp, is due to reveal his grand plan for the chain, which, along with close rival House of Fraser, has put in a lacklustre performance in recent years amid changing shopper habits.

Bucher will reveal his plans at Debenhams’ interim results next week. At its full-years last autumn the department store chain reported a small rise in both like-for-likes, up 0.6%, and underlying pre-tax profits, up 0.5%.
