Harrods is set to open three new H beauty stores across the UK following the successful launch of the new format last year.

The iconic retailer is set to open the new stores in Edinburgh, Bristol and Newcastle, in a bid to bring the Harrods beauty experience to customers outside of London.

The Edinburgh store is set to open towards the end of this year, followed by Bristol in early 2022. The Newcastle store, which will be the largest, will open at the end of next year, with the five H beauty stores representing a combined 120,000 sq ft of space.

Like the first two H beauty stores, which opened at Lakeside in Essex and Milton Keynes last year, the stores will offer Harrods’ portfolio of premium brands, as well as beauty services.

This expansion is part of Harrods’ ongoing investment in beauty, which also included the opening of the 90,000 sq ft Beauty Hall in the brand’s iconic Knightsbridge store in 2019.

The stores also form part of the brand’s domestic growth project as Harrods aims to fill existing retail space and create jobs in regional hubs across the UK.

Director of home and beauty at Harrods Annalise Fard said: “This is a hugely important and exciting milestone for Harrods, as we continue with our ambitious plans to expand our domestic footprint through H beauty.”

“The incredible response we have had to our first two H beauty store openings not only reflects the ongoing demand for exceptional, high-quality retail experiences outside of London, but also the passion for beauty that exists among the customers we serve in these regions.”

She added: “We have no doubt that we will see a similar response in fantastic destinations we are taking H beauty to. We are so excited to continue building beauty communities around these new cities, each with their own unique beauty cultures, as well as employing beauty-lovers across each community to represent the H beauty brand.”
