The retail weather forecast from Saturday August 17 to Friday August 23, 2019

The week last year

A bit more stable with a warm and sunny start followed by more cool and showery weather.

The week this year

Temperatures will fall to near-normal across the country for most of the week.

The first half will be cooler than last year, which was still in a warm pattern, but matches well with a similar temperature drop in 2018.

We can expect plenty of rain from Saturday to Monday, but more settled weather will develop for the rest of the week.

Mindset

Cooler comparisons and showers early will help sales on transitional products and back-to-school, while the drier and warmer conditions later in the week will support late summer clearance.
