Waitrose has signed up 700,000 customers to its Pick Your Own Offers loyalty scheme and rolled it out to 250 more products.

The grocer said there has been an “incredibly positive” response to the scheme, which allows customers to select the goods they save 20% on, since its launch three months ago.

Waitrose marketing director Rupert Thomas said: “We know our customers like straightforward offers they can trust and that are relevant to them – and their incredibly positive response to Pick Your Own Offers demonstrates exactly that.”

When the scheme launched it covered 1,000 products and it is now being broadened to 250 extra products across ranges including babycare, gluten free and health and beauty.

Members can choose 10 products they want to save 20% on each time they shop online or in-store.

Window to change items

From this week existing members will also be given the choice to change their 10 picks to make the most of new products and seasonal produce.

The 10 choices will remain in place until November 10, at which point customers can again change their picks in time for the Christmas period.

Pick Your Own Offers builds on the wider myWaitrose loyalty scheme, which has over 5 million members and includes perks including free coffee in-store.

The grocer also revealed the most popular items selected by members of the sceme.
