The sports retailer’s 40-second ad also features Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard, Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, US actor/rapper Jaden Smith, TV and radio host Maya Jama, popstars Anne Marie and Ella Eyre, grime artist Bugzy Malone and singer/presenter HRVY.

The campaign will air in the UK, France, Holland, Spain, Italy and Ireland and will also be screened in cinemas in Malaysia and Singapore.

Campaign imagery will feature in JD stores and on outdoor media across 13 countries.

It will be supported across both JD’s and many of the stars’ social media platforms, which have a combined reach of reach of more than 85 million followers.

Group marketing director Stephen White said: “We chose the line-up because they are aspirational and influential to our audience and provide a huge reach across social media platforms.

“The campaign and the icons who appear in it echo JD’s global market leading position.”

The commercial is making its debut on Friday during Emmerdale on ITV and will then roll out across Channel 4, E4, Sky Sports and BT Sports. It will air in the run-up to Christmas during major Premier League and Champions League games.

The commercial was developed by the in-house marketing team of White and JD brand director Victoria Dougherty.
