Former Matalan boss picked as non-exec
Specialist carpet and floor coverings retailer Carpetright has appointed Geoff Brady as non-executive director with immediate effect.
Brady has more than 25 years’ experience in the retail sector. He was deputy chairman of Matalan and non-executive director of Floors-2-Go before they were both taken private. Before that, his roles included chief executive of Allied Carpets and retail UK and commercial director at Superdrug.
Carpetright chairman and chief executive Lord Harris of Peckham said: ‘Geoff is a highly experienced retailer whose skills will be of great benefit to Carpetright as we continue to implement our growth strategy. I am delighted to welcome him to the board.’
