B&M Bargains has acquired 11 Focus stores after the DIY chain collapsed this month.

“Associated employees” have also moved over to the company, according to administrators Ernst & Young.

Simon Allport, joint administrator said: “We are delighted to have completed another sale of Focus stores, securing a further 211 of jobs.”

The value chain is the third retailer to snap up stores. Kingfisher acquired up to 31 stores within days of the retailer collapsing, while Wickes acquired 13 stores this week.
