Stanford buys stake in All Saints as its expansion push continues

Former Karen Millen boss Kevin Stanford has bought a third of directional casualwear retailer All Saints as it aims to become a 100-strong chain.

Founder Stuart Trevor said Stanford bought out silent partner Beta in the summer and now owns 30 per cent of All Saints. The other shareholders are Trevor and retail managing director Mick Dunne.

Trevor said Stanford had bought into the business to drive expansion.

'He is looking to become much more involved. He thinks there is a huge potential,' said Trevor.

All Saints opened its 10th store last week, on the corner of Great Portland Street and Market Place in London. Trevor said there was capacity to expand to 100 stores worldwide, including shops in New York, Los Angeles and Japan.

It plans to open on Kensington Church Street before Christmas and is eyeing Liverpool, Bristol, Glasgow and Newcastle.

Trevor said All Saints, which sells menswear, womenswear and accessories, was poised to launch childrenswear.
